Your privacy begins before the first conversation.
The website collects only the details needed to arrange a private response. Detailed health information belongs in the clinic's approved clinical process. Privacy questions may be directed to the Privacy Officer at info@enhancement.institute or 778-800-1181.

Who is responsible
Enhancement Institute is operated by DR. EBEN NEL INC., a private medical practice at 1500 Hornby Street, Vancouver, BC V6Z 1T9. The clinic’s Privacy Officer is responsible for questions and concerns about personal information. Contact the Privacy Officer at info@enhancement.institute or 778-800-1181.
This policy applies to personal information collected through this website and related administrative communications. Information collected through clinical care is handled under the separate professional and clinical-record obligations that apply to the practice.
The clinic handles personal information under the privacy laws that apply to its activities, including British Columbia’s Personal Information Protection Act and, where applicable, federal private-sector privacy law.
Information collected through the website
When you use a consultation-request form, the website collects your name, email address, optional telephone number, reply preference, selected enquiry type, short message, the page used to make the request, permitted campaign or referral information, and a record of the privacy acknowledgement shown at submission.
Website hosting, self-hosted abuse protection, security, email delivery, and form systems also process limited technical information such as an IP address, browser or device information, timestamps, and security events. Please do not submit a detailed medical history, intimate photographs, medication list, or other sensitive clinical information through the initial website form.
Why the information is used
The clinic uses website-enquiry information to respond to your request, route it to the appropriate administrative follow-up, arrange an appointment, provide requested information, protect the website, prevent abuse, maintain delivery records, and keep a non-marketable enquiry record in the clinic’s customer relationship system.
If you become a patient, information required for care is handled through the clinic’s approved clinical and booking systems under separate clinical-record obligations. The website enquiry record is not the clinical chart.
Consent and communication choices
The privacy acknowledgement beside the consultation form permits the clinic to use the information you submit to answer that enquiry and provide reasonable administrative follow-up. It does not determine treatment eligibility, create a physician-patient relationship, or subscribe you to marketing.
Marketing messages, if offered, require a separate and optional choice. You may withdraw marketing consent independently. You may also withdraw other consent where the law permits, although doing so may prevent the clinic from completing the follow-up you requested.
Service providers and disclosure
Access is limited to people who need the information for clinic operations and to service providers that support website hosting, email delivery, security, form processing, customer relationship management, booking, text delivery, and approved measurement. Providers process information for the clinic under their contractual and legal obligations.
Information may also be disclosed where required or permitted by law, to address a safety concern, or as part of a properly managed business transaction. Enhancement Institute does not sell personal or patient information. Jane and Beautifi are independent external services with their own terms and privacy practices; review those policies before providing information directly to them.
Cookies and analytics
Website analytics and marketing measurement are currently disabled. The site still uses functionality needed for security, form operation, preference storage, and abuse prevention, which may include first-party cookies or similar browser storage.
A successful enquiry is recorded only in the clinic’s administrative systems. Names, email addresses, telephone numbers, free-text messages, and treatment details are not sent to analytics. Before additional analytics or marketing technology is enabled, the clinic will update this notice and apply any consent controls required for that use.
Retention
Technical, security, quality-assurance, and email-delivery logs are normally kept for no more than 30 days. A longer period may apply when needed to investigate a security event, meet a legal duty, or resolve an active issue.
Non-patient website enquiries receive a retention review date no later than 12 months after collection. At review, the record is deleted, de-identified, or retained only where a documented legal, professional, or operational reason continues to apply. Patient and clinical records follow the separate retention requirements that apply to the clinic.
Safeguards and processing locations
The clinic uses administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information. No internet transmission or storage method can be guaranteed completely secure.
Some service providers may process information outside British Columbia or Canada, where it may be subject to the laws of that jurisdiction. The clinic remains responsible for selecting and overseeing providers appropriate to the information they handle.
Access, correction, and privacy complaints
You may make a written request to ask whether the clinic holds your personal information, request access or correction, or withdraw consent where the law permits. Provide enough detail to identify the information involved, but first ask the Privacy Officer how to send any sensitive supporting material. The clinic may need to verify your identity and will respond within the time required by applicable law, explaining any permitted extension or refusal.
Send a request or complaint to info@enhancement.institute or contact the clinic at 778-800-1181. The clinic will review the concern and try to resolve it. If you remain dissatisfied, you may contact the Office of the Information and Privacy Commissioner for British Columbia.
Text messaging
If you separately authorize text messaging through the clinic’s approved booking, intake, or consent process, the clinic may use your mobile number for appointment reminders, scheduling assistance, requests for information, and other patient-coordination messages. The website consultation-request form does not by itself enrol you in marketing texts.
Message delivery is supported by service providers acting for the clinic. Enhancement Institute does not sell text-message opt-in information or share it with unrelated parties for their own marketing. Optional promotional text messages, if offered, require separate express consent. You can withdraw text consent as described in the Terms of Use.
Changes to this policy
This policy may be revised when the website, clinic systems, service providers, or legal requirements change. The current version, effective date, and last-reviewed date appear on this page. Material changes will be reflected before information is used for a new purpose that requires further notice or consent.
Please do not include detailed personal or medical information in the initial website request. For a private administrative enquiry, email info@enhancement.institute or call 778-800-1181.
